Week Calendar

The Talbot County Free Library Friends book sale will be in the Main Meeting room from 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.  Stop by and see a wide selection of books and DVDs and help support the library. 

Stories, songs and rhymes for young children, ages birth - 5 years, accompanied by an adult. No registration necessary.

The Friends of the Library are preparing for their book sale on October 25th and will be accepting items from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. at the Easton Library in the Frederick Douglass Room.

The Talbot County Garden Club welcomes Jessica Bonilla who is the Director of Horticulture at Hillwood Gardens. The extensive Hillwood Estate, Museum and Gardens was founded by Marjorie Merriweather Post.

Learn about the Maryland 400 soldiers who fought at the Battle of Brooklyn to save George Washington’s army as a part of the celebration Colonel Tench Tilghman Week.

We welcome author Eliza Smith Brown who will talk about her new book from Carnegie Mellon University Press, "She Devils at the Door".

A Date with History Speaker Series welcomes author Marty Payne who will speak about his book Baseball on Maryland's Eastern Shore, 1866-1950. Marty is a native of Talbot County with a passion for baseball and the Eastern Shore.

A Case Manager will be available to provide free, confidential, one-on-one guidance on topics such as housing and food assistance, child support and much more.

This event will be held at Heartfields Assisted Living in Easton. Learn how to preserve your family's history by writing and sharing your stories. This week's topic is 'Snakes'.

Learn more about how to join the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) or Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR). The SAR and DAR use family history research to help citizens re-connect with their patriot ancestors.

For children ages 8-16. Learn and play chess! Snacks will be provided. Registration is required.
